Before then, placeholder dates will likely keep popping up, but please don’t get carried away they carry no real significance. The Doors of Stone will have anything but a quiet release. ![]() No doubt Rothfuss will announce it himself, and that date will be shared everywhere across the web. ![]() Suffice it to say, when we do eventually get a release date, it’ll be a massive deal. In short: The Amazon release dates are not correct, and Rothfuss is still writing the much-anticipated novel. The biggest culprits are Amazon and other online bookstores that post placeholder release dates, which continue to irritate readers. When you consider that fans have now been waiting over a decade to read the third book in Patrick Rothfuss’ Kingkiller Chronicleseries, The Doors of Stone, it’s only natural that some false alarms have been rung. ![]()
